I'm still working on figuring out how to fix the error in a more productive manner, but at least this works until then. I haven't gotten any error messages using this method so far, so it seems to me that SDL has some work to do to fix the template to work as an ACTIVE application add-in. Of course, the add-in is now only attached to this particular document, so it might not be as good a solution in some cases.
